Finding Your Value with Full Moon in Taurus, Mercury Retrograde and the Lovely Venus

Hello Beauties,

It's that time of year when we feel the temperature drop, prepare our fire cider, and get ourselves and our gardens ready for Winter. Pulling up what needs to go and leaving what continues to thrive. A beautiful metaphor for life.

This Full Moon in Taurus happening on Sunday the 25th can feel incredibly draining and chaotic, especially with Mercury going Retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday the 24th for 3 weeks. We will be revisiting situations, conversations, thoughts... What are you continuing to recycle that needs to go? Does it still deserve your attention?

Taurus reminds us that abundance is not only about having more. Sometimes abundance begins when you finally recognize that you already have enough of what matters and stop giving your energy to what drains you.

If you have been feeling this urgency with no direction, take this time to listen to your body and slow down. Observe what is supporting your life and the relationship of what you value and how you actually live. Release what has become too heavy to carry. If you have been ignoring the signs to rest and decide to "make" things happen, this energy will force you to take a beat, prepare, preserve, simplify and protect what truly matters. What makes you feel safe, grounded and at peace?

The more you slow down you create space for more ideas, intuition and the more capable you are of receiving. Receiving requires space. Give that to yourself at every moment. The more you rest the more you receive. There is a fine line between laziness and contemplation. It is understanding you no longer need to force the outcome. Allow life to bring you what you need by matching the vibe you want to Be. This is self care...

Don't go back to what is familiar. This is a time to do something new. Don't grab the old thing to feel normal. The instinct to fill that empty space we are feeling is palpable. Slow down, stop and feel the emptiness of what has moved on and get curious about what would feel more authentic for you and your new way of Being. You are no longer the person you were. It may feel like something is ending but nothing has been solidified to fill the space. No decisions need to be made.

I heard if you don't believe you can get what you want, you'll teach yourself to want what you can get. Our behaviors are a reflection of the goals we have. We deserve to get everything we want, we just have to believe we are worthy of all of it and more.

There is a lot of energy moving through this weekend with Venus also in retrograde until Nov. 13th as she passes between the earth and the sun tomorrow. Venus is all about love and relationships, value and self-worth as well as money. What do you value? What is the relationship between what you value and how you actually live?

Self worth and self care are synonymous with life, what you value, and the way you choose to live. Self worth inspires you to care for yourself. Self care are physical and emotional acts that reinforce and validate your worth. You treat yourself like someone who matters. Are you treating yourself the way you deserve and matter?

Self care isn't something you can teach, it is something you embody, a practice. If you don't feel worthy or treat you as the priority, you are no longer part of the whole. When you embody your worth/value and drop into what you need or want in every moment it becomes a practice, one day at a time. It's like a muscle, it gets stronger and easier until it becomes a pleasure. Your entire world turns on because you are... What turns you on? It doesn't always need to be sexual but is definitely a lot more fun.

Self care is a journey specific to how you live. As women we are created to nurture, but what is lost in most societies is honoring women and their worth. We tend to tuck that energy away "thinking" that our self worth depends on everyone else around us being loved and cared for, leaving our sweet self wondering, "when is it my turn".

Eighty percent of autoimmune disorders happen to women because we suppress our feelings. We are taught/conditioned to be pleasant and happy, regardless of the situation. We are compelled to do for others and tend to take on other people's problems because we "need" to "fix" it, regardless. This is why self care is so important for our well being in all aspects.

No one is going to love and care for you the way that you need and deserve except for you. You know what you need, yet we ignore it because, too busy, no time, or do I really "need" this. Of course you do. You wouldn't have thought of it unless it was something your system gravitated towards or needed.

What if you sat for just 15 minutes and saw the life you love. You have perfect health, you feel free, your environment is nurturing....all of it. Then feel it resonate in its truest form. Anything is possible...Whatever resonates with you, see where it goes. The most mundane thing can make a tremendous impact. You never know.

Whatever you do first thing in the morning is the introduction to the rest of your day. Whether you get up and sit in the sun, sun salutations, yoga, cuddling with your pets or going for a walk. Whatever you do, make it an indicator of how you want the rest of your day to feel. Even if sh*t does go down this will help you roll with it instead of stopping you in your tracks.

Keep doing what lights you up and let go of what drains or weighs you down. There is no more room for nonessentials. Look at yourself in the mirror and see the depth of your beautiful life in your eyes. You are so loved.

If you have been curious about creating more rituals for your self care practice, I would love to work with you to embody your true authentic self. Treat yourself to something that resonates and feels good so you can share it with this beautiful world. https://www.cnbessentials.com/book-online

If you have never heard of fire cider, it is the one thing I prepare every year when the weather starts to turn. One shot in your soups, sauces or mixed with tea or water will help keep your system healthy throughout the entire winter. Here is the recipe from the lovely Becki Yoo, RD for all your nutritional needs.  Enjoy! .https://beckiyoord.com/blogs/news/homemade-fire-cider

Take care of your sweet self this weekend. Listen to your body, release what no longer resonates, rest and hydrate. Give yourself what you need now more than ever. You are so worth it.

So much love and gratitude,

Colette
